A SCUBA diver, usually of Open Water equivalent, or less, certification. They leave their fuckin' gear strewn from one end of the charter boat to the other, enter the water without their mask, air off, still holding their fins, kick the shit out of the coral and anything else nearby, exhibit no bouyancy control, frantically signal OOA after 5 minutes, and generally gob off like they know everything.

diversity

(Cultural) Originally, diversity of ideas and viewpoints were recognized as important to many different endeavors such as learning and decision-making - the idea being that the over time the best ideas and/or viewpoints would win out in fair competition. Unfortunately, once this concept was generally embraced as a good thing, it was subsequently perverted and has become a euphemism for quota preferences given to politically favored minority groups in such areas as hiring, promotion, granting of federal contracts and admission into educational systems.

Genuine diversity would imply that someone from Greenland or New Zealand would be a welcome addition to increase the diversity of a university culture. Instead, administrators believe their university somehow becomes more diverse by adding one more black from down the road, increasing black % enrollment from 7.23% to 7.24%. Odd how administrators never seem to notice that blacks don't really contribute to diversity anyway since blacks usually restrict their company to that of other blacks in the student union, classroom, fraternity, university clubs, etc.

Perversion Diversion

This is when you see a hot girl and you want your friend to check her out too, but if you both look at the same time or if he looks too quickly then it becomes obvious and you get busted.

So you create a diversion, to allow your friend to have a perve without getting caught.

This can be in the form of allowing ample time between looks or simply creating a scene so her attention is diverted.

Diversity Drone

Anyone who mindlessly adheres to the diversity creed.

Prone to Drone: Self-identified 'liberals'; moralistic vigilantes; anthropology majors.

Life cycle: Many people assimilate into drone-life after discovering that diversity is the solution to world conflict, becoming so obsessed with this ideal that their personality merges with the Hive-Mind. This causes them to engage in stereotyped and predictable behaviors such as: obtaining student leadership positions, becoming obstinately opposed to stereotypes, and becoming hateful towards the imagined Oppressor. Drones typically die off after obtaining jobs in the outside world.

How to recognize a drone: Drones can often be heard buzzing about "ethnic identity", "tolerance", and "multiculturalism", esp. when pressed about their comprehension of diversity. You won't find a depth of knowledge here, only the clever wielding of words to shame and demonize. Do not threaten further. Drones command the power of a guilty Nation.
