Hoka Hey

"Hoka hey" was the battle cry of the Teton Lakota (Western Sioux) translating loosely to "hurry hurry". It is likely that Crazy Horse would have shouted this in battle, but it was not his personal cry, as another definition has hinted at.

One would yell "Hoka hey" when charging at an enemy.

premature hey

When someone chats you "hey" and you respond in a timely fashion and then they say nothing... Did you forget what you wanted? Seriously, don't get so excited and ping me when you're ready to chat.

You: Hey
Me: Hey
(...an hour and no further dialogue later...)
Me: Did you fall off of the earth?

(...just another premature hey, how annoying???)

Used when something may be offensive, when someones being random, or when someone needs to back-up and learn what space means.

The most useless catchphrase known to man, much more so than "wocka wocka wocka" or "criminy jim-jim." Yes, some grungabiliacs might think "what the hey" originated in that childfest "The Suite Life of Zakkh and Cody," or in the frequently asked questions (FAQ'z, if you will) on "Weird Al" Yankovic's website, or even in a modest but kinda mediocre "Far Side" cartoon by that King of Cartoons "Gary Larson"--but the truth is that "what the hey" was devised by the Rev. Oral McJorrity to keep Satan's House off Christian tongues. (hell)

"What the hey was in those popsickles?"
"Tobacco, marijuana, cocaine, heroin, LSD, PCP, ecstasy, and um, toxic waste to give it the color."
