ghetto grit

a slang term popularized in mid-90's southern Maine, used to describe a person who combines the characteristics of a b-boy and a redneck (or, in New England parlance, a "grit"). also known as a "wigger."

A cheap car with expensive looks. While ghetto chariots appear nicely styled on the outside, they have quality consistent with economic box models. They often have visible body damage, paint missing or corrosion, and frequently sport rims that cost more than the owners house payment. Often driven by denizens of lower wage neighbordhoods. Popular models include the Nissan Altima, Chryser 300s, various Hyundais, and the ever present Honda Civic
