A series of books made by Wilbert and his son, Christopher Awdry about anthrophomorphic trains living on the Island of Sodor. The first book, The Three Railway Engines was published 1945, spawning 42 more books and an extremely succesful television series, Thomas & Friends. The RWS is claimed to be the Bible of the TTTE fandom.

It was made by multiple companies General motors (1977-1987), Transportation Manufacturing Corporation (1987–1995), Nova Bus (1995-2003) and Millennium Transit Services (2006–2012). They are powered by a couple of engines from caterpillar, Detroit Diesel and Cummins and pair with Allison or ZF transmissions. The RTS especially the RTS-06 made by nova bus were so popular and they were featured in a lot of movies based on NYC and also one of NYCT’s best bus they operated, they rode really nice, their A/C is cold and nice, their engine makes a nice sound as it goes (just like a HEMI) and they are the best looking bus ever made. Sadly MTA NYCT and other companies like NJ Transit retired all of them in 2018-2019 how sad that is 😢

Get the Rapid transit series mug.A classic cyborg themed science-fiction anime. Like wine when it ages up becomes more tasty and valuable. The well made character stories make it hotter and hotter. I should mention that the anime has intense soundtracks and musics made by the legendary composer Yoko Kanno and voiced by Origa who literally has an angelic voice. The philosophy of this anime is actually based on Arthur Koestler's The Ghost in the Machine.
