It is used as a replacement for the sarcastic term ‘ouch’.
This would be used as a way to defend yourself from those bullies in the playground who they call you a bellend for having a fortnite backpack.

It can mean anything, from forgetting the password of your Fortnite account, to getting roasted by a YouTuber who hates you (an example would be Deji vs Randolph), to death, like when you get pwned in Roblox. Very sad. Very embarassing.
