When you are good friends with somebody, but they can be very annoying at times, so you need to take a break from them to replenish your energy that they sucked away from you.

"Hey, are you going to talk to Jacob this weekend?"

Text Break

When you find yourself always texting your boyfriend or girlfriend first but stop for as long as you can in order to see how long it would take for them to text you first. Usually ends up with the intended partner cutting off all communications because they arent interested in how you feel or how your day is going or what you are doing. Said partner is usually only interested in sex but leads you to think otherwise.

Kate knew she was getting played after she decided to go on a text break and Adam forgot she existed.

Breaking the Ceiling

When an author appears in their own work of fiction and interacts with the characters they’ve created.

The phrase is a nod to “Breaking the Fourth Wall”, wherein characters acknowledge the fact that there is an audience/that they are in a work of fiction. (Famous example: Deadpool)
