1) a typing phenomenon occuring when, in an attempt to write "pens," one accidentally writes "penis." This phrase is most commonly used in reference to this phenomenon for any words or phrases that closely resemble more incriminating words or phrases.

2) a forum post used to call another out when this kind of typo is made.

3) an AWOT expression used to refer to the first recorded instance of this phenomenon.

The pen is mightier than the sword

Another way of saying that theres a lot of bullshit in history books to support the agendas of a group in power to make that group look more like a clear victor without any negative qualities, and make another group look like they met their downfall. In reality, questioning what the pen writes is enough to make you wonder if there are any winners at all with something like a war.

The pen is mightier than the sword is what the same people you need swords for in the first place tell you.
