Nu Metal

This is the newest form of metal.
Much to the dismay of "old" metal fans, this "nu metal" is much accepted by todays culture. Old bands such as Pantera and Slayer had great musical talent, however today's listeners are typically more interested in the cross over of rap with the old sounds of metal. Nu Metal also includes more of an emphasis on the lower chords rather than the high pitched, more complexed chords played by the "original" metal bands. Nu metal music is also are accompanied by yelling and shrill screams, which in most cases should be deemed pointless. Regardless of wether or not you want to consider it "true" metal, this new genre IS here to stay... go, bitch and moan in your closet.

One last thing, you are all going to die while this genreation of music will live on until a next comes along. So why don't all you "haters" go, put on your Slayer albums and cry about how bad your life has become because of nu metal. waaaaah

dance metal

Basicly use to describe stuff which is today being called industrial, such as Rammstein and KMFDM.

I happen to like KMFDM, but I call it dance metal when people say it's industrial. (usually meant sarcasticly)
KMFDM is not industrial, its, its, ... dance metal.

Metal Head

A metal head is typically a person who listens to metal. None of that pussy ass nu-metal i.e PTV, BVB, BOTDF, SWS, WCAR, etc.

The term revolves around people who mainly listen to thrash metal, black metal, doom metal, Viking/folk metal, death metal, melodic death metal, glam metal, sludge metal, stoner metal, heavy metal, classic metal, and other genres relating to those.

There are many different clothing styles that metal heads typically have, but generally you can base them all around two main ones. (Not 100% accurate, but you get the idea.)

1.) Band t-shirts, dark jeans, leather jackets, spikes, wristbands.
2.) Khakis/jeans, band t-shirts occasionally, casual apparel that their peers wear.

Now, there are two types of metal-heads.

1.) The elitist jerks that'll ridicule you if you don't listen to death metal or anything extremely hardcore. They're generally really close-minded and judgmental and are an asshole to almost everyone.
2.) The kind of guy that doesn't flaunt it around and realizes that music is music and that people enjoy different types of music and are aight with that.
George: Man, that guy is such a faggot. Listening to only doom metal? What a fucking casual.
Jimmy: Dude, stop being such an asshole. Let people enjoy what they like. A Metal Head isn't supposed to be a huge douchebag.
