In the YouTube video of the cute little British girl going to see the clock mechanism at the top of the famous Parliament Building, she is directed to wear earmuffs due to the decibell level's being so high when the hours are tolled.

level zero

when you fall out of the level in a video game or otherwise glitch into a normally forbidden or unintended gameplay area. Not like skipping through a locked door, but getting behind or under set pieces where you were never supposed to be. Like minecraft's void (under the bedrock).

I got stuck in level zero so I've just been exploring the map from below.

Don't jump over that building. It doesn't load the next area, it's just level zero.

The Lost Levels

The REAL Super Mario Bros. 2 that we never got for two reasons:

1. It was too similar to the original.

2. It was Kaizo Mario before Kaizo Mario was cool.

For these two reasons, the folks down west said no, and stole one of Japan's games and made it into the SMB 2 that we all remember.

Despite its infamous reputation, The Lost Levels is actually not a bad game -- but it is very frustrating. The last two levels of the original game will probably take you several hours, and world C-4 is damn near impossible without cheats.
