pulling a bulworth

A.k.a. bulworth

"Pulling a bulworth" is when a candidate starts saying what's on his mind, not caring what the public, media, or special interests think.

It's a reference to the movie "Bulworth" starring Warren Beatty. Bulworth is a senator running for re-election. Knowing that he is going to die in a few days, Bulworth stops caring what people think. He stops catering to special interests and starts saying what he actually believes. Although he often says offensive or politically incorrect things, it causes him to rise in the polls.

That candidate knows he is retiring this year. He's pulling a bulworth because he doesn't have to be re-elected.

When you get fucked up on drugs so bad that by the end of the night your crying and then you gotta get taken home by your sober friend with a car and your sitting in the back seat crying the whole way home slurring half your words, making it extremely awkward for your mate because your mate doesnt know what to say back because your crying and stuff.

Your mate:..."yeah"....*thinks to himself* god this is awkward, hes totally pulling a cam on me.

When a character in a fan fiction or a TV show or book (or something) acts like Bella Swan from the ever so popular book and movie Twilight. Usually refers to when a character is getting overly depressed over their lover leaving them or when someone is acting really clumsy.

The act of promising to attend something with your friends, and then the day before the event come up with some sort of implausable excuse to get out of it.

Person 1: "Wheres John today, he said he'd come along with us...?"

Person 2: "He's going to see his uncle today.... looks like he decided to pull a dooley on us."
