shuffle bias

noun. The phenomenon whereby a media player will repeatedly and disproportionately play related songs during a listening session despite being set to select songs at random from a full library.
My iPod exhibited shuffle bias when it played mostly Bouncing Souls songs even though I had set it in full shuffle mode.

Letter Bias

Higher Education's practice of hiring Ph.D.s with little or no practical, real world experience, to educate over more qualified Masters and sometimes Undergraduate candidates. It can extend to less than doctorate degree holders having a "terminal" degree, such as a M.F.A., M.A. or M.B.A., over a M.S. degree holder. Even though a M.S. is a preparatory degree for a Ph.D. and contains a research component, many full time temporary and adjunct faculty members are consistently overlooked for promotion due to an "old boys club" type hiring philosophy from search committees, deans and provosts. Terminal degree holders are not immune to this type of discriminatory hiring practice either.
"I know we have a robust staff of full time temps. I know they are a safe bet for success and have been there for us, but we need a Ph.D. for accreditation," is an example of Letter Bias. Also, "they continue to teach 5 classes a semester, if we hire them tenure track we will have to work them less and pay them more, let's just get a Ph.D. it will look better anyway," is an example of Letter Bias.

follower bias

When someone thinks a tweet/instagram post/etc is better than it really is simply because the poster has +10x more followers than they do.
That Rob Delaney tweet wasn't even funny, but he still got 2000 RTs. Total follower bias.

Russian Bias

A timed moment where Stalin assists specifically anyone who is the Soviet Union, From the old and special Po-2 bomber bi-plane to the famous, powerful and fast MiG-15/17/19 fighter jet, from the T-26 manueverable and small light tank to the worldwide used T-55A MBT (correct me)

Stalin will assist with the amount of penetration shells can provide, or help a rolling Tu-4 near its doom, stop spinning and climb back to safety
The Yak-9T is made with a special, Russian Bias 37mm NS-37 aka "Fridge Launching" cannon

The MiG-17 can reverse repair at certain points of the aircraft by damage the same amount at the same place (same to other side) due to Russian Bias

The Tu-4 is known as the Russian Death Star for its B-29 copy replacing 12.7mm mg turrets with 23mm autocannons, making the Tu-4 nearly the pure Russian Bias

Po-2 is an extremely slow, but damn mavueverable, confusing the hell of German pilots and comes with special stalinium airframe, make it survive more likely against 30mm MK 108s and air-to-air collisions, and also an RP grinding machine.

normalcy bias

The state of being in denial about super bad shit that is happening. Being geared toward everything being awesome today and tomorrow, just like it was yesterday (except that some douche bag did some holocaustic shit).
Dude A: Starting tomorrow, we can all get incarcerated forever without any warrants or trials 'cuz the politicians just voted for that, and Obama said so!

Dude B: No way, dude!! I'm going to ride my skateboard, because I live in a bubble and want it to stay that way. Normalcy bias sure beats how depressing the truth is!

Russian Bias

The phenomenon in Gaijin Entertainment's 2012 game War Thunder in which Russian tanks, aircraft, and naval ships receive unfair and unhistoric "buffs" to their effectiveness at a certain battle rating. For example, it has been found that Russian tanks have a significantly higher chance of over penetrating a target, and are less likely to suffer an ammunition explosion when the ammo rack is hit. Many players dismiss this as players of other nations being salty or not good, which may be true for some in American or German tanks, but that doesn't negate the reality of this phenomenon
