A perfect example of how to take a message of Anti-Government, Anti-Corporate, Anti-Popculture, Uncool, alternative, freakish, underground anarchistic messages, and then Turn it into a Corporate loving, Corporate sounding, Popculture praised, Coolest hippiest, sell-out piece of shit to ever have ruin my eardrums. System of a Down sucks, the people who like it obviously have never heard TRUE underground, anti-athority, anti-system, music. They think they are so great and orginal, but all they did was steal underground culture, and push it through the pop-music-machine world and sell it to you. Then people think they are so amazing and awsome for their totally unique stance on things, even though they just stole it from the uncool, unpopular, never-heard of by main-stream bands, people, culture, and tribes out there.

Nine Inch Nails, Marlyn Manson, Nirvana, or anything else of such nature.

One of the best bands ever.There music moved me away from a prep and into a punk (but i ve always worn Walmart)so they can change probably anyone(but i ve always worn Walmart).There songs are different but better. They tell the truth of the government.

system of a down is , the fucking best band in all of existance..they are the best there ever will be and better than anything out..better then those shitty bands with crap lyrics singing about nothing..SOAD sings about society and corruption in politics things that MATTER not to mention the fact they have AWESOME guitarests and ever BETTER vocals! very original songs i havent heard ne thing like it...ever..simply put the best fucking band in existance..by the way its not pop dumbasses britney spears is pop....SOAD uncreative? HAHAH i laugh in the face of anyone that says that..no other band sings about what they sing about or play and sing like they do..Serj and Darren have such awesome voices and they sing great and Shavo John and Darren are great with their instruments..plus they have harmony in everyone of their songs..

System of a down are an amazing band of Armenian descent. With each new album they try to combine different types/genres of music to appeal to lots of different types of people. Indeed, some of the songs lyrics are mad/funny, but the majority have deep meanings to them.

System of a Down

An amazing band with a lot of talent and versatility who incorporate different styles of music like Alternative Metal, Folk, Prog-Rock (or Prog-Metal), Jazz, Middle Eastern Music/Armenian music (if you believe Armenia is middle eastern) and even Greek music. They're the only good "Nu Metal" band, don't let the closed minded idiots on here tell you otherwise. Serj Tankian is a very versatile singer and a talented lyricist who sings about real issues, real problems, unlike his contemporaries in the nu metal world.
