Discord is a social media platform for chatting, voice chatting, having fun and all kind of stuff. You can make your own servers, manage some servers (if owner/admin or any staff gives you permission) Discord is also a dangerous platform because there are many pedophiles, traps and all kind of stuff you have to keep an eye out for. If you wanna start using discord you have to remember a few things: Don't click on random ass links, do not download suspicious things especially .exe files. Discord is not a safe platform.
