screamo

screamo is not punkrock gothicrock or heavby metal... its more of just mindless whining and screaming. Its a bit of a mixture of emo core and really heavy metal. they usually begin really slow then suddenly turn to screaming.

boy1: hi i really like screamo music...
boy2: wow i like punk and gothic rock to!
boy1: its not either of those
boy2: oh i thought it was gothik and punk mixed
boy1: no its actually emo core and really heavy metal
boy2: oh... sounds cool im gonna buy a screamo CD!!

post screamo

Post Screamo: an unofficial definition for bands which draw influence on both Screamo and modern melodic Post Hardcore. A good example of a Post Screamo band would be Alexisonfire or early material from Fear Before The March Of Flames. These bands are clearly neither Screamo or Post Hardcore but are a mixture between the two.

The debut full length from Alexisonfire clearly combines common elements found in Screamo (chaotic starts and stops, vocal driven songs) as well as elements from Post Hardcore (harmonized guitars, melodic sung vocals) therefore this must be Post Screamo.

Screamo

A word people mistake for being post-hardcore/metalcore music. Bands like: Bring Me The Horizon, The Amity Affliction, Of Mice & Men, Asking Alexandria, Chelsea Grin, Pierce The Veil, Parkway Drive or even Black Veil Brides (are people fucking crazy) etc are usually called "screamo" either by Emo/Scene fags or people who have never heard a vocalist who screams.

Scene/emo fag: Oh my god I love Black Veil Brides and Asking Alexandria they're so screamo RAWR screamo music 4 lyf :3 :3 ^_^
