Get the Three-Handed-Jacksonmug. A long-running American rock band formed in 1967 by Daniel "Danny Hutton" (September 10, 1942-), Cory Wells (February 5, 1941- October 21, 2015), and Charles "Chuck" Negron (June 8, 1942-).
Originally named "Redwood", the band released several albums over a period of nearly ten years, before they disbanded in 1976 after several poorly-received albums as a result of Hutton's and Negron's drug abuse problems.
The disbandment was short-lived, however. Five years later, in 1981, they reunited. While their most recent album was released in 1983, they are still active today, even after Cory Wells' death.
