Drive-by Hug

When two people haven't seen each other for a long time, and instead of saying hi and catching up, one gives another a quick hug to be polite and continues on their way.

"Did you see that? I haven't seen him in two years and all he did was give me a drive-by hug!"

"He probably doesn't want to talk to you. You did cheat on him with his best friend."

Re-hug

When you go to hug a person that is unsure if they want to hug you but you force the hug. While the hug is awkward you try to re-adjust leading to much more awkwardness than you bargained for.

John was really nervous on his first date with Jenn. When it was time to leave the restaurant he went in for a hug while Jenn was going for a hand shake. He then tried a re-hug which lead to even more awkwardness. They both wish the incident would have never happened.

When two men with thick beards embrace each other by rubbing each others' beards up against the others' respective beard. This action is done amongst good friends and is another way of greeting as opposed to a traditional hug.
