phaser

A musical effect achieved by splitting the incoming signal and changing the phasing of it. The signal is taken in and out of phase and mixed back in with the original signal. As the phasing changes, different frequencies get canceled resulting in a warm sort of twisting sound.

random phase

The phase most teenagers go through from age 12 - 15. They say weird and random shit and think it's funny but will later regret this whole time period and will relate to it as cringy. Teens in their random phase are usually seen as annoying by others.

Steve: "I'm a fucking chameleon, khakha!!"

Jessica to Elly: "what is Steve doing?"
Elly to Jessica: "oh he's in his random phase"

Steve: "hahaha I'm so random"

shopkin phase

Ahh....the shopkin phase. This phase takes place in young, usually female, children--typically in the age range from 6 to 9 (no 69 joke intended). The phase is where these young children become obsessed with shopkins, a small and creepy collectible toy that is in the shape of an object you can buy at a store, like the milk your dad is still getting.

Later on these same kids remember this phase and would do anything to forget it (see italic letters).

Paseo

Large out door mall in Pasadena, Ca. The stores are aimed at conservative women married to rich attorneys, but Paseo tends to be crawling with their sons and daughters instead- ussually free spirited scene kids chillin' and wearing awesome pants (from urban outfitters). That's pasadena for you.

Mr. and Mrs. Madison just dropped Laura off at paseo in their Lexus. Laura is wearing tight pants and vitage jewelry as she chills and pretends not to know her parents.

Phrase Phase

When a new song (usually rap) comes out and everyone starts quoting the catchy line in normal conversation for a few weeks until a new song comes out.

1999 - Damn look at his bling bling

2005 - I'm sittin' sidewayz, cuz

2007 - You guy's know where I can find some drank?

2010 - Burr!

2011 - Check out my swag hoe
etc...
