Lamda Sigma Upsilon

The primary roots of Lambda Sigma Upsilon began in 1978. During that time, Rutgers University was a hotbed of political and academic controversy. Minority students, in particular Latinos, felt that they were not getting the attention they so desperately needed to succeed in their academic endeavors. This negligence was most prevalent on the Livingston College Campus of Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ. During that time groups of students and protestors would conduct campus center sit-ins and take over university facilities such as the Livingston Library to make the university administration aware of their negligence. It is during these events where our founders met.

A term used to initiate common, Stereotypical Ladsy behaivier.
IF at a given point of time, ie during a class "Lads-" are currently "-off" (ie LADS OFF) then one might want to turn lad's on by a cry of "lads on"

Guy1: "This history homework is really hard...."
Guy2: "LADS ON!"
Guy1: "Fucking maggot dardi gibbon aye!? TRRUUUU"
Guy2: "LADS OFF!"
Guy1: " ill probly get a D if i dont finish it ...

Lampshade Hanging

To purposely mention and point out a distracting cliche in your work, and then to move on like nothing happened. Used to have the audience of your work be less likely to murder you for using the cliche.

"Writer: 'The world was overrun by vampire robot zombies, what else would it be? Anyways the vampire robot zombies were defeated by a guy with a whole bunch of guns, silver bullets too. And a garlic flavored wooden stake Electromagnetic Pulse antivirus firing machine. Seriously that made it so easy. Anyways yeah there were a bunch of explosions. Fuck yeah!'
