A revealing attempt to make oneself look better to others by embellishing their accomplishments or exaggerating the truth.

"He sounds totally legit, he's submitting his film to Cannes."

"Dude, every hollywood poser says they're 'submitting to Cannes'. He's got nothing, it's such the douche tell."

Tell Hell

A flood of private communication from multiple sources that cause sensory overload in the recipient, rendering him or her unable to carry on any of the multiple conversations in a timely manner. So named because in early MMORPGs (such as Everquest) which emphasized such social interaction, the command to send a private message to another user was /tell.

(17:44)OrcMan tells you, "Hey, you coming to the raid tonight?"

Tell it to the Marines

When recounting a "tall story", the response "Tell it to the Marines" implies, "Go and tell your sea-story to some gullible landlubber, because no sailor will believe you".

Dates back to the before the Napoleonic wars, in the Royal Navy.

Pilot #1: "I lost the starboard engine on the base leg, but I still managed to bring it it for a perfect three-point greaser"

Similar to the well known act of show and tell, only when a promiscuous person Ho's and tells.

Can't wait for poker night, I know when to show them and when to fold them, but I am hoping to ho and tell if you know what I mean!
