Hunts Point is a neighborhood located in the infamous South Bronx. It encloses subsections such as Longwood and Intervale Valley. Left virtually untouched during Giuliani's reign, more than 50% of the neighborhood's population is below the poverty line and it has the highest crime rate in New York City. It is one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in New York City and the country. Hunts Point is very infamous for it's prostitution industry. Grafiti is also very common, with some of the most famous grafiti images all over the vicinity of the neighborhood. Community centers and organizations have been created over the past couple of years in an attempt to improve the neighborhood's environment.
