RPG speak

Share definition
When playing an online text-based RPG, some people will post words that are obsolete or make no sense at all in place of other words because they can't come up with any other way to keep from using the same words over and over, and they think it makes themselves sound more sophisticated. Peer pressure is also a large factor, and people often get into the habit (as bad as it is) because "everybody else is doing it".

RPG speak usually winds up doing nothing but making their posts far more difficult to read.
Example of RPG speak:
The hellion's audits turned in the direction of the soon-to-be-made crime scene, and he ignited across the earth's facade. His projectiles pivoted, and his oculars turned, searching the landscape. Opening his maw he let loose a roar, then widened his paper thins to allow the essence on the wend waft inside. Suddenly he halted his skeleton, and flinging his tassels aside he rotated his harks once more, lowering his lids over his orbs as he listened, but to no avail.

Super Columbine Massacre RPG! Also known as SCMRPG. Or SCMRPG!
A game released for the PC in April 2005, it can be downloaded at www.columbinegame.com. it is a Final Fantasy like game made with RPG Maker, with attempts to re-enact the events of the Columbine High School Massacre.

There is many music from other video games, and you even get to go to hell to fight the monsters from Doom. Sounds like a great game, right? Well it is. It was developed by Danny Ledonne.

The game begins as Eric Harris' mother wakes him on April 20, 1999. Harris phones Dylan Klebold, and the pair meet in Harris' basement to plot a series of bombings that will precede their planned shooting. The two reminisce about the bullying they experienced at Columbine High and express rage at those they perceive to be their tormentors. Harris and Klebold make a video, apologizing to their parents and asking them not to blame themselves for what will follow. The two boys collect their guns and bombs, pack a duffel bag with weapons, and leave home.

The game attempts to tell about the Columbine Shootings, and why they occurred. It's an epic game which I highly recommend, and it has music from classic video games and bands, such as Mega Man 2, and Smashing Pumpkins.
And to top it off, it's free! :)
Go ahead, try this epic game out!

RPG stands for "Role Playing Game," and refers to any of several types of interacive games in which the player assumes the role of a character in the game. There are two main types of RPGs: Videogames and Table-top.

RPG Videogames follow a set story, and are usually layed out in a similar fashion. Your character and comrades that you meet along the way fight badguys and monsters together, meet people, help people, uncover plots, and usually end up having to save the world. The scope of most Videogame RPGs is almost comically large. Battles are usually fought in a very unrealistic, menu-based manner, in which a certain number of your comrades (usually three) takes on a certain number of enemies. These battles normally happen at random intervals while traversing hostile territory. Personal statistics, like attack power, defense, and life, are displayed as numerical values on the screen. Once all of the enemies are defeated, the battle ends. An RPG videogame is like a novel: its replay value is based mostly on the player's desire to wittness the story unfold again.

Tabletop RPGs are much different. They are played by a group of people who take on different identities for the game. There is usually one person, the Game Master (or similar title) that creates a story and provides the narration. Battles are fought using rolls of dice, or other means, which represent unique attacks and abilities created by the players. Characters in tabletop RPGs have stats as well, and just like in VG RPGs, their attributes increase numerically with their conquests.

Example Tabletop RPGs: Dungeons and Dragons
