Hemming

The term Hemming is the act of intentionally doing something in a public space in order to provide you with some much needed personal space.

Two guys are in a crowd at a gig.

Dan “Mate why are you being such a drunk idiot?’
Jack “I'm not, I’m just hemming these people so they get out my face!”

Common phrases:

“I just hemmed the shit out of that old lady!”
“I’m trying my best to hemm these guys but they’re having none of it!”
