Australian
slang for a cigarette made from tobacco harvested from multiple Dogends of either the same or
different brands. These are nearly
always a Rollie although the artful
may manage to pack the tobacco back into a Tailormade they have carefully emptied beforehand.
The quality of dumpers depends on the generation, such as carefully
rolling tailors to cause the tobacco to fall out, and making dumpers out of those, or simply finishing a fresh cigarette before it'
s completely finished. Some
may deliberately leave cigarettes unfinished specifically to have dumpers later, when their Centerlink has run out. These are first-generation dumpers. Dumpers made from these dumpers are second-generation.
The further along the generations one progresses, the more cigarettes one must have had to begin with, and the worse-quality tobacco with higher tar and undesirable content concentrations one consumes. These progressing dumper generations carry progressing social stigma.
"Aw mate, I'm out of money but I really need a Durry! You
got an ashtray I can bum some dumpers from?"
"Pete and Kyle were
smoking the White Ox 4th-gen dumpers yesterday. They said it was basically like just
smoking tarred-up ash. Fucking legends"
