Somebody who might seem pretty regular when you first meet them, but completely changes your mind when you get to know them and reveals a personality you'd never have thought would belong to them. Like the rock, pretty regular looking on the outside, but a gem inside. This term is used in a positive sense.

- He seems real full of himself. What a douche.
-Not at all actually! I thought that too at first, but turns out he's a total sweetheart. Kept going on about his dog and her pups. A real geode.
-Oh really? Would not have expected that.

A space in a city that has been closed off, boarded up, sectioned off, from use. This may or may not be the result of changing fire and zoning codes in the mid-twentieth century. Often times furnishings and finish materials are left in tact.

The space above the restaurant used to be apartments, but the restaurant removed the staircase to make more room so the space above cannot be accessed. It is now an urban geode.

The gender is one of the first things you get to find out about the baby. It's a new piece of them you get to meet so it's special and exciting. When the parents learn the gender they can start planning clothes, his/her room, and even the child's name. Parents go through the effort to treat their friends to food, desserts, and a party.

Elsie: Ooooh yes!
