Now, for all of these
people saying that 'poser punks' are
people who listen to bands such as 'Sum41' and 'Good
Charlotte', etc, and also saying that being a real punk is being unique and pretty much having no guidelines to whatever they do, then why are these
people saying that, although being a punk is being unique and having no guidelines, as well as not caring what other
people think, then why are they making guidelines by saying that if you listen to a certain band, then you MUST be a 'poser punk'. Excuse my run on sentence if you will, I felt a need for all those commas. Anyways, so if you are trying to have no guidelines, and trying to be unique, it'
s not going to happen because people still seem to be making rules about being a punk, and not being a punk. Say if you wear safety pins on your hat? Does that make you a 'poser punk' just because you like to do this? Just by listening to a band such a 'Sum41', does that automatically make you a 'poser'? Personally, I don'
t think so. I think that whatever you want to do, you do it. If you want to be a punk so badly, then follow what you like, whether it be from the mainstream, or something that's entirely new. Thanks for your time, and have a nice day.
