not up to scratch. similar to slap dash.

to complete a task in a sloppy, quick, or otherwise very poor fashion, especially of home services/trades people, but can also be a scathing criticism of the standard of work in any task.

Easy way to explain forward slash vs back slash to end users.

Left dab slash = "/"

Right dab slash = "\"

When you dab to the left, your arms look like a forward slash. When you dab to the right, your arms look like a backslash.
