Big-ass piece of lighter pine, only found in the great state of Florida, that is drug into camp, usually with a chain and four-whell drive just before sundown. This superd fire wood has the distinct smell of turpentine; good for keeping skeeters away. Burn all night, I'm here to tell ya. That's the only reason I'm here.

Hey Gomer, drag that other piece of lighter knot over t'fire. These skeeters are fit t'carry me away.

lighter'd knot 

A knot taken from a pine tree used as kindling for a fire. The best ones come from old pine trees that have been struck by lightning or cut down and allowed to dry out.

Skeeter, git me a lighter'd knot to start this fire.
