Jello Plan

The plan to which one subscribes when choosing the Mormon (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints) Faith. On this plan you have many children and eat more jello than the average person.

Dave and his wife just became Mormons, guess they better get started on the Jello Plan. They might even want to move to the Jello Belt.

The Japan Plan

A strategy in the board game "Risk" wherein one player quickly captures Japan at the beginning of the game, and proceeds to put all of his armies on the country each turn without attacking anywhere else for most of the game.

When most of the other players have been eliminated and the game appears to be drawing to an end, the player charges out of Japan and conquers most of Asia if not the entire game board.

The strategy is actually surprisingly effective, as players are focused on gaining bonuses early in the game and by the time they've laid out borders, the Japan Plan player's armies outnumber theirs.

It was created by a BC High School student who got bored with playing, and instructed the other players to just continually put all of his units on Japan. When he revisited the board hours later, he found his army force could easily capture the entire game board.

Steve Jobs Business Plan

A product differentiation strategy that involves releasing multiple variations of the same product with just notable differences in each successive generation to the point where consumers feel they must upgrade. If the gap between the product the consumer owns and the product the company just released is 2 generation apart or larger, the consumer's product is outdated to the point that its value has plummeted to levels where resell value is less than half of the original cost and/or the company has cut off support for the product either formally or in a de facto manner (e.g. releasing updates to iOS that consume increasing amounts of RAM since it is designed to run on the newer harder with more RAM, but the older hardware becomes defunct because all of its RAM is being used to run the operating system and not any programs, such as music).

I got the iPhone when it came out, but I want to get the iPhone 3GS because it's half an ounce lighter. Unfortunately, the Steve Jobs Business Plan has rendered my iPhone worthless.
