ADJECTIVE

Originally a Gaelic disparagement of the Johnstone (MacIain Clan) family. It's now used (primarily in Eastern Rural Canada) when factual statements are debated against by means of lies, inaccuracies and total nonsense.
I told Dave that his favorite team was going to lose tonight. He argued that because the barometric pressure was higher than normal for a Spring time game it would be to his teams advantage. He was clearly Johnstoned.
