Exaggerated statements or claims delivered with such conviction it is often mistaken for the truth.Often used when intoxicated.
Can be used in it's abbreviated form as follows:

A little lyle , a not quite plausible untruth or exaggeration.
A Big fat lyle - usually accompanied by a botanical latin name or a mythical chemical compound
A true hypebolyle similar to the above but delivered with such conviction that it convinces the person who delivers the statement

When one googles the internet to find a contrary opine conspiracy theory blog post or opinion to support their own fear mongering nonsense.
WOW, now that Trump is the new president all the liberals are thinking there's a white power conspiracy like their socialist conspiracy to support the anabolic hyperbole.

Cone of Hyperbole 

The yellow/red graphic "cone" on a weather map when a hurricane is far, far away that includes hundreds and hundreds of miles of coastline and causes TV meteorologists to go nuts and needlessly alarm the general population.
Area residents from Miami to Brownsville should begin to take precautions as we don't know where this potentially strong storm might, or might not, make landfall. The areas in red or yellow are all within the cone of hyperbole.
