wainboarding

The act of training a small child under the age of 5 to skateboard or surf. Wainboarding comes from the Irish slang term “wain” which means child. Because the children are so young, they usually stand crouched a lot lower on the board than someone older, and have a different way of riding on the board for that reason.

Dashboarding

verb

The mysterious act of “going to check something in the car” during a social gathering, only to return with suspiciously high energy, intense jaw action, and an overuse of the word “bro.”

Origin: Coined after a legendary night of camping when someone got caught doing cocaine off their car dashboard by a park ranger. Instantly elevating “dashboarding” to urban legend status among the friend group.
“Has anyone seen Jake?”
“He said he left his phone in the car.”
“Bro… he’s dashboarding.”
