When the meaning of information sent by text is not understood by the recipient the way the sender intended for it to be understood; a mix-up between two or more people because of a text message

"My wife and I have had a text misunderstanding because I sent 'I don't have time right now. I'm getting the booty.' She thought I was having sex with someone else when I simply meant I was real busy getting the items we found out of storage."

Missunderstandings

A missunderstanding happens when a girl or unmarried woman (a miss) understands what a male is saying as mansplaining when they are simply being a person freely speaking.

Hey, you are missunderstanding what I'm saying.
I'm only voicing my opinion, take it or leave it, no need to reduce me to such absurdity.

Missunderstandings done by calling me a mansplainer is only polarizing.

Misunderstanding 

When one person says or does something insulting or hurtful to another person and later avoids the apology by stating that the entire situation was simply a misunderstanding.

Amy: "Brian I cant believe you called me a douche bag in front of my parents..!"
Brian: "Amy, I think this has been one big misunderstanding.."

The commonly seen misunderstandings and political/social differences between men and women are commonly seen on topics such as dating or relationships, life advice, and other advice. Most commonly observed in western countries that primarily speak English or in modern and urban cultures.

e.g - from the male perspective- Gendered Misunderstanding

"I don't understand women, I tried to open the door for one to be a nice person, but she didn't even say thankyou, she just flew out of the airplane like a selfish bitch."
