The Drexel Drought

The time period roughly from mid-August to mid-September where everyone except Drexel students are away at college.
September 1st: All my friends already left for college two weeks ago! I have nobody to hang out with now? Fuck the Drexel Drought!

drexel shaft

The term "Drexel Shaft" stems from the now-demolished fountain that was outside what is now North Hall. The name stuck, and then referred to the smokestack on top of a SEPTA and UPenn-owned building in the trainyard visible to anyone in Drexel University's campus. The smokestack was demolished on November 15, 2009

the Drexel Shaft became analogous with the "shafting" Drexel students receive from the administration personnel (or lack thereof) and all-around cost-to-graduation rate of the school.
Drexel Student 1: "fuck dude, I got 4s on over 3 AP tests and Drexel didn't give me ANY credit."

Drexel Student 2: "you just got the drexel shaft!"

Drexciya

An influential underground electronic music band from Detroit, Michigan. They made electro/techno music between 1993 and 2002 featuring the TR-808 drum machine. The late James Stinson was the only identified member of the band.
These electro tracks are heavily influenced by Drexciya.

Sounding like, or influenced by the music of Drexciya, a 90s Detroit electro band.
The new electro releases from that label sound very Drexciyan.

Drexel Hill

Drexel Hill is NOT a "small town." Shippensburg is a small town, Drexel Hill is a neighborhood in Upper Darby Township and part of the highly-populated and crowded Philadelphia area. Located 10 minutes west of the City in Eastern Delaware County, Drexel Hill is a well-respected and overwhelmingly Catholic area. "D-Hill" has more bars per capita than any other city, although it is easier to grab a bag of weed than a beer. There is ghetto Section 8 housing as well as luxurious mansions. Drexel Hill is a great place to live.
"A neighborhood of neighborhoods"

"My neighbor to the left has a rusted car on his back lawn and drinks Budweiser all day, while my neighbor to the right is a Jewish lawyer."
