Bandwagonism

When somebody puts up a facebook status, email or message of any kind and asks you either to send it on to others or repost it. Once you have done this you have successfully achieved bandwagonism! It is usually to spread awareness of some kind but actually does nothing whatsoever in order to help the cause. Only done by people with nothing more interesting to say and usually have no knowledge of the cause itself.
The NSPCC change your facebook profile picture to a cartoon for abused children campaign. Lots of people were guilty of bandwagonism.

Bandwagging

- To be on a bandwagon

- The herd instinct felt by people of any background or culture, when confronted with the prehistoric herd instinct to simply go with the flow and do what everyone else is doing. It provides anonymity in numbers, deniability and freedom from the responsibility to think for oneself.
No, I've not read Twilight, I hate Bandwagging.

Dude, I'm not a real fan, I was just bandwagging.

Or

2.is gaining popularity, and so as not to be left behind or loose socal status, abandons current belief, direction, goal or trend wholeheartedly for new a found intrest, as if developing that view for themselves.

Thus always on a bandwagon, never settling on
Or sticking with something due to personal belief.
Man I wish (bob) would stick with one decision , he agrees with whoever is giving the most convincing argument. He's such a bandwagonioneer.
