The Green Banana Spring *"Green Banana"is a 425-foot blue hole spring/sinkhole that is located in 42 Nautical Miles west of Sarasota County in the Gulf of Mexico on the Continental Shelf in 155 ft of water. The hole is noted for high biological diversity and marine life. Seawater chemistry in the hole is unique and interacts with groundwater in different aquifer layers.
A green bananer refers to Exhibit A : a male or female who fails to get action. Hence, the banana (Exhibit B) being pursued is unpeeled by the eater (Exhibit A) and thus the banana (B) is too ripe.
