A very unsophisticated equine more commonly known as a donkey. Very popular term in the mid 1500's when jackasses were named jesse's for the eratic behavior and the inability to bring them to social events. Also commonly used to describe rude, unnaceptable behavior. JP

My jesse won't eat any hay. That guy is acting like a complete jesse.
