E-Zeitgeist

E-Zeitgeist is an expression that literally means “electronic zeitgeist”. The term zeitgeist refers to the intellectual, cultural, ethical and political climate, ambiance and morals of an era. While the “E” in e-zeitgeist stands for electronic it is more commonly used in this context to describe the trends which persist virtually (i.e. on the internet). Therefore, e-zeitgeist refers to the ethos of the electronic generation, their socio-cultural progression and the expression of a particular world view. Those born between roughly 1975 and 1985 are usually considered the first generation to seriously use and influence the e-zeitgeist.
