When there is an immediate need to travel and pack luggage, "man packing" refers to the furious and hurried manner of packing . The expression is meant to portray the common male stereotype of packing luggage without much thought as quickly as possible.

I had to catch a flight within 8 hours of notice and I was man packing everything I could find!

Behavior exhibited by experienced professionals that bullies, mocks, or demeans newly graduated individuals without experience. The practice is not constructive and results in young professionals quitting. The phrase is often used by Registered Nurses to raise awareness of their high turnover rate of the newly graduated. The symbolism is based on animals like rodents that eat their young for subsistence.
