analytical autism

People with "analytical autism" are autistic people who used to be diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome. They are verbal and thoughtful, especially interested in structured, predictable systems, including logic, patterns, categories, and rules.

Primanauts is short for Primary Analytical Autism, the main group.

Extanauts is short for Extended Analytical Autism, nerdier people, including those excelling in academic disciplines, including math, science, and law- often earning graduate degrees.
My brother and I went to a special school for kids on the autism spectrum, those with analytical autism. They put me with the other extanauts, since I like more challenging material. My brother is with the primanauts.

toe tag warning

A situation, like Hurricane Katrina, where the police go around and hand out triage tags or disaster evacuation tags or, if you're light-skinned, write your name and social-security number on your arm. I heard it from someone in New Orleans- that's what they called it during Hurricane Katrina.
The person wrote: We lazed around Memphis until we could meet up with one of my oldest friends who was too stubborn to heed toe tag warnings from cops at his door. He ended up in shorts and t-shirt but nothing else when his house flooded within seconds.

When she introduced me, she mentioned the four inventions I'm most proud of, and how hard I worked for years figuring out what was needed and how it could be created. I felt thoroughly gotten.
