A basic worker in Warcraft III, Age of Empires, or any other real-time strategy game.

If you can kill the enemy's peons, you've just won the game.

Someone, usually a warrior, who takes hits in a role-playing game so the more powerful mages can wordpwn the monster

bozo filter 

A mythical device which would, in theory, be able to identify fools and prevent them from calling/annoying/talking to you. Impossible to implement because fools are so ingenious.

Man that guy is such an idiot. I wish I had a bozo filter.
