activist judges

A term Republicans and the religious right use to describe judges who make rulings based on the Constitution rather than the Bible or the Republican party platform
Free speech applies to everyone not just conservatives.
Freedom of religion applies to everyone not just Christians.
The "Equal Protection" clause of the 14th amendment applies to everyone not just white male heterosexual Christians. When courts make rulings acknowledging these simple truths Republicans call them activist judges.

right to work

an Orwellian term corporate owned politicians use to describe laws intended to weaken unions and drive down wages
The company demanded the workers take a huge pay cut, but since the factory was in a state with a right to work law the union lacked the clout to stand up for the workers and were forced to accept the companies demands.

Republican toilet paper

Politicians such as Reagan, Bush41,Bush43,Ashcroft etc. seem to think the U.S. Constitution is just Republican toilet paper. They have used the war on drugs and the war on terror as an excuse to take away basic basic constitutional rights. Some examples include the Patriot Act, warrantless wire taps, property seizures etc.

retro-vote

when in times of economic crisis voters become frustrated and reject the politicians who are working to fix the problem and return to the policies that created the problem in the first place
The Obama Administration has worked hard to get our economy out of the Bush Depression and has made a lot of progress, unfortunately 2 years was simply not enough time to repair the 8 years of damage done by the Bush Administration. In the 2010 election people were frustrated by the slow recovery and we had a major retro-vote.
