Impersonation. Identity hacking. Pretending to be another sex, or age, or color, or weight, or ethicality, or someone else altogether.

A phone hacker. A musician who plays the phone keypad the way a hacker plays the keyboard.

A phreaker is always on the lookout for the latest phone codes.

2. A citizen of cyberspace who wears mirrorshades indoors, at night.

He might be a geek, but he might also be a cyberpunk.

1. A ronin (masterless samurai) who swashbuckles through cyberspace battling security systems in order to liberate imprisoned data.
2. A criminal, dangerous to civil order and accountancy.
3. A lonely, housebound 15-year-old who wants to run free through fields of pure information.

System administrators constantly need to defend against the insurgence of hackers.
