beauty

beauty has several definitions, but mine is a bit more large-scale than most: just look around you: babies forming in wombs, injuries healing, lifeforms reproducing, brains working, bodies moving, etc. all have been made to be recognized and glorified, but ultimately, to point toward a Designer.

the universe is so beautiful, it makes one wonder; 'has this all come from nothing? has all of this just materialized into existance? or is there a Creator who designed it? those who are willing to find are willing to seek.

shinner 

skateboard slang - when the skateboard hits you in the shin... usually not a big deal but hurts like you-know-what for a few minutes. imagine if someone just walked up to you and whacked your shin with the edge of a skateboard... it ain't fun, and it leaves a big purple mark on your leg. after 4 or so years of skating your legs should look like cobblestones, but its all good cause now you are a good skater.

i was just trying a 360-flip and got a mad shinner... it got better pretty quick though.

mute 

skateboard terminology - a grab trick where your front hand goes around your front knee and grabs on the toe-rail of the board, in between your feet. pretty cool. invented by a guy whos name escapes me, but i do know that he was infact, mute.

the 900 by tony hawk is a mute bs 900.

japan air 

see mute - done by pushing your front knee out and pulling your front hand behind you while doing a mute grab. some people do them with a frontside shifty as well, which is cool looking.

i dont know why its called japan.

900 

an extremely difficult trick done on a skateboard where you do a mute grab and just spin backside until you don't even know which way is up. it's actually performed by adding a 540 to a 360; you have to wind up for the 360 while spinning the first 540. people don't realize how insane it really is.

tony hawk had to go the the chiropractor often while trying to learn the 9.

backside 

skatebaord terminology - to turn, more specifically, in the direction where after 90 degrees of spinning you are facing backwards, hence, backside.

also refers to the direction you are facing when approaching an obstacle. for example, if you roll up to a curb and it's behind you, any grind that you do on the curb without 180ing into it will be backside (including noseslides and boardslides...)

bs 180 ollies are fun, espesially if you do a sort of 45 to late 135.. its cool.

jurassic 5 

some hip-hop guys... they got some pretty nice tracks, like 'a day at the races', thats my favorite one. but of course, its the only track of theirs that i've heard so of course it's my favorite.

look at the other guy's definition because it is way better than mine...
