plantcebo effect 

The perception that by digesting certain plants or vegetation, you will improve something about your physiology or health. Especially true if the plant has not been scientifically studied for that effect.

Someone told her that eating Canadian crunchberry will improve her psoriasis. She tried that and she thinks it works, but I think it's just the plantcebo effect.
