When something is so ridiculous that conventional words just doesn't cut it—e.g. when the government assumes a university student suddenly will become a millionaire in 2018 and precautionary punishes him by raising his taxes.

An action under the same category as namedropping - used to describe the case where a person uses any rare occasion to mention a specific year with the purpose of sounding a bit superior.

Generally used by douchebags or academic hipsters.
