The act of changing lanes without the use of a turn signal, usually involving cutting someone off in the adjacent lane simultaneously.

I was driving on the freeway and this idiot in a Prius totally power merged and almost killed me.

crank a zank

A term used to refer to a person who is extremely cranky, irratable, or grumpy. It can also be used to refer to someone who is a perpetual pessimist, or a constant downer.

Gertrude makes sure to get a lot of sleep at night so she isn't a crank a zank the following day.
