Grew out of the opposite of it, the trustworthy Magnum Stealth boots. When you have them, they say you can't leave the house without them. They're Swedish quality winter shoes that are comfortable and warm. It was an expression that bubbled out of emotions and anger towards those people who wear "trendy" sneakers during winter time.
oh you fucking trendwhoresneaker-lover, you suck! my boots are way cooler than your sissy shoes. in those you won't last more than 2 hours out in the cold!
