monegasm

The pleasurable feeling obtained from making money.

For many people, the intensity of a monegasm is proportional to the rate at which money is acquired. For some people, notably those in the finance industry, the risk that one takes in achieving a monegasm will increase the intensity of the resulting experience.

Bankers, traders and investors effectively became addicted to monegasm, while at the same time increasingly losing touch with just how much risk they were taking.

The Publisher's Clearing House winner had a loud monegasm at her door, when the Prize Patrol arrived.
