AI-KI-DO

1. Noun: a Japanese martial art, created by Morihei Ueshiba. Translated as "he way of harmonious spirit" or as "way of adapting the spirit". Focuses on armlocks and throws, often combining the two.

Noun: A type of martial arts technique, used to extend or twist a joint beyond its range of motion, possibly breaking it. They are also sometimes used to manipulate an opponent's movement. Sometimes called a 'submission hold', or just 'submission'.
