1. Short for voluntary celibate. Someone who chooses to abstain from sex and/or romantic relationships, not because they can't find a partner but because they genuinely don't want one. Could be doing it for personal growth, religious reasons, or just because dating apps suck.

2. The peaceful cousin of the incel.
